Keep these war-affected sisters from being separated!
The human impact of the war in Ukraine is beyond devastating. Our partners on the ground are working tirelessly to serve the most vulnerable children and families — and they urgently need our help.
These are children like Mira and Olena — young sisters who once giggled late into the night, drew pictures of their family, and raced to the door when their dad came home from work.
But everything changed in the spring of 2024, when their father left to defend Ukraine. He packed a bag, kissed their foreheads, and promised he’d be back soon. Tragically, in October, he was declared missing in action — and their world fell apart.
Since then, nothing has been the same. Their mother, Anna, is doing everything she can to keep her family together — but she can’t do it alone. The mental anguish is taking a toll.
My husband was our support,” Anna said. “The news has turned our world upside down — emotionally, morally, and financially.
Today, Anna is raising the girls on her own. She cooks, cleans, helps with homework, and takes whatever work she can to afford food and keep the lights on.
Mira and Olena miss their dad terribly — and they see the weight their mother carries. Even basic needs like groceries, soap, and school supplies are hard to afford.
Will you give today to help restore hope for families like Mira and Olena’s?
Your generosity can make a real and immediate difference — and help this family remain together.
Just $50 can help provide:
Food for the family for a week.
School supplies so Mira and Olena can keep learning.
Counseling support as they navigate grief and uncertainty.
Without help, Mira and Olena’s family risks falling apart. In the worst case, if Anna can’t meet their basic needs, the girls may be separated from her and placed in an institution.
But with your support, we can help families like theirs through this heartbreaking time.
Your gift today is a powerful way to live out James 1:27: “To care for orphans and widows in their distress.” Thank you for standing with families who are walking through tragedy, offering them hope, healing, and a future together.
